First time I have ever seen a Bike hauled like this!

Pretty slick.
But... if the bike doesn't have a lock for the steering, if those straps loosen up you'd have problems!

I wonder if that technically requires a plate on the bike, e.g. like a dolly and car lol.

Chip, I've seen two fulldress Harleys hauled side by side on the back of a 5thwheel camper behind a crew cab dually. This is common on the west side.

WOW that guy was at trail days in damascus va yesterday with that same bike has military sack on his back riding around alll day!!! crazy yall seen that shit too!

Maybe when backing up, but that is why bikes are built with rake/trail to keep it tracking straight. The straps aren't doing anything that the tire carrier isn't already except for helping hold the bike sketchily to the truck. Either way, dumb way to haul a bike--in my opinion.

That looks like one of those hybrid road/trail bikes that don't have the real soft knobby tires. I don't see anything wrong with the way it's designed, but I think instead of the straps, I'd have made sure the tire is secured into the carrier by use of a Kryptonite lock. Now if the front tire were on the ground, it would be an entirely different story.....
