Where to Buy Expanded Metal

I'm looking to make a tailgate for a utility trailer and looking to top it with Expanded Metal.

2 questions:

1 would you reccomend 1/2" or 3/4" expanded metal hole diamonds

2 where do you reccomend in the NC/SC area to buy this stuff?

i need a 4 x 6 sheet - but if it's two sections of 4x3 that's ok too.

If you need only enough for a tail gate, maybe fastenal. They can get spendy if you don't have a relationship with them. McMaster Steel is always a good source.

Any metal supplier will have it.

You'll have to buy it by the sheet, 4x8.

3/4 #9 is the most popular

I just got a full sheet of #9. Only using 32" right now...I'll make you a deal on the 64x48 leftover if you can use it....just need to get my money out of it. In Sanford.
