Looking to replace the cable on our brush truck with synthetic rope. Who has the best selection?
Why rope? Would that be a giant flaw (fire/heat not friendly to synthetic rope)? What would be it’s average payload?

I’d think if you got the truck that close to the heat/fire, you’re already messing up. Just my $.02.
If you are using a winch, you are already in trouble/a tight spot. Plus fire spreads quickly. No telling what the situation would be. This is a duty truck, not a SEMA mall crawler

The person that did all the rope making has his own company now:Give these guys a call. They can build whatever you need. Southeast Overland | Off-Road Vehicle Outfitting | Installations | Off-road Accessories | Trail Maps | Vehicular Based Explorations
Not using it for this purpose! Why rope? Would that be a giant flaw (fire/heat not friendly to synthetic rope)? What would be it’s average payload?

Exactly. The winch doesn't really get used for life safety purpose but we pull trees and dumb fireman from ditches. I can also see scenarios of using the winch to pull a Stokes basket over an embankment. these are usually not high-stress payloads so not having the wire to you cut your hand seems to be a smart move.I get what you’re saying, but these guys also clear debris from roadways. Downed trees and such. It doesn’t have to be on fire.
How about to stabalize a car?Not using it for this purpose!

I really like it. It's been used many times helping folks out. Plus, it got me through Harlan last time on some sketchy climbs. I highly recommend it.@McCracken posted this a while back, so I saved the link. I am thinking about buying it for my 8274 and using it on my YJ project.

They are proud of them. Not trying to derail this thread, but I would love to try swaged cable. It seems like it has good qualities for twist abrasion.
