Where to buy or get Ford 6.9 IDI injection pump rebuilt?

Time to rebuild the injection pump on dads 86 F350 with the 6.9 IDI non turbo diesel. Its about $300 on ebay to send them yours and they rebuild it. From the parts stores they are about $500-600. Truckpro in Charlotte wants $425. I've never messed with these before, anybody got any advice?
 
Don't hold me too it, but I'm fairly certian that I've seen them as low as $300 new. I've got a good friend I will ask.
 
I send everyone to diesel equipment in Greensboro for pump rebuilds. Also buy all our big truck starters and alternators from then.

they just redid my vp44 pump for $425 resealed it and calibrated it. 2 day turn around very happy with them.
 
Only have Bosch VE experience...
  • I've also bought parts from them & was happy about it. They even added a couple of extra parts (o-rings/copper washers/etc that added $.50) when I purchased the governor spring and they knew I'd likely need them!
  • Ken used Chason's Diesel out east for such rebuilds and was pleased with their service
  • Also, a bud of mine had his VE explode internally and got a reman from Pensacola Diesel (eBay) for about $400 that fired up instantly and ran good over 15K miles before he sold it...
