Alrighty... after searching for XJ lift shackles (and not finding the correct length I need), I'm following Pinkston's lead and looking for OEM '94-'01 Ram 1500 rear shackles (5" eye-to-eye for 2.5" leafs)...

Only problem is they don't exist outside of the stealership... aftermarket are all lift/lowering. I'm either looking for takeoffs (none on fleabay) or OEM replacements (can't find anyone that carries replacement suspension parts).

So, before I call the anal manglers at 109 or take a day off to hit up the others... anyone know of an online source?

Might try calling 21 Motors. They're fairly reasonable and have a shitepile of trucks. Bit of a hike though (but that small, they may mail 'em).

21 Motors = "cum awn out and have look, we *may* have them"
109 = too busy smokin' crack to bother
S&J = *only* $80 for the set (^^^^)

I have no issues doing the jy deal, problem is most are only open 8-5 M-F... which happens to coincide with the time I have to be at work... so I ain't real interested in taking an afternoon off, loading up my tools & driving 50 miles to "have a look"

You need 5" xj shackles?

See, that's *part* of the problem... the majority of vendors just call them "5 inch" or "x.x inch lift"... while few report the actuall eye-to-eye distance. What I need are either MJ or XJ +.75" shackles (either should be approx. 4.75" eye-to-eye)

Pinkston says the OEM '94-'01 RAM 1500 shackles are the same...

You need 5" xj shackles? For $80+, sounds like it's time to make your own...

Sure I can, but it sure would be nicer to throw some "bolt-in" parts at it rather than reinventing the wheel...

Get rid of the goofy shackle setup, change the hangers, and use easily replaceable, easy to find shackles.

Problem fixed, and when you break them again (we all know you drive by braille) someone may have a spare.

21 Motors will have em, and shouldnt be too bad on price.
I will never do business with S&J.
109 is hit or miss.

But 21 is a bit hard to get to from Winston when your working.

FYI I've been at 21 as late as 6 before. They're open Sat mornings too I think. Still a hike - but you could stop by my place for a brew on the way home.
Agree on 109 and S&J, you'd think their parts were imported from the moon.

i might still have the ones from my truck around somewhere, i'll look. one was a little tweaked from landing on a rock, but definitely still useable.

Well, sometimes you have do things the "hard way"...

Took my measurements to the local spring house (a whoppin' 2 miles from downtown W-S  ) today and walked out with a set of GM shackles that will take MINIMAL modification to drop right in...
