Where to get a new bumper

So as some of you know, i recently backed in to a tree and now I need a new rear bumper.


So where can I get a bumper that isn't factory but also isn't $1000???

I've looked online and all the ones I've found are ridiculously expensive, so where all the cheap bumpers at?
 
Are we talking about a factory-like replacement, or an alternative design (e.g. fabricated) bumper?
 
Fabricated, all the ones I've found online are like $800-$1500. But the factory replacement are $250ish....surely there is something in between.
 
Nope. Factory style will be stamped and too think to weld/fab if needed to. A fabled bumper will be thicker/heavier and have many many more hours invested. Even a mass produced one.

JV Whitney will likely be you cheapest option but I wouldn't expect anything below 600 ish

What kind of vehicle are we talking about here?
 
Craigslist for a stock one. I kinda need one myself for my 99 Silverado. Just haven't gotten around to it yet. Since we're talking about bumpers....nobody makes a decent looking front winch bumper for these things either. I don't want a big, gaudy, low hanging, front bumper. I like the simple and effective look of the Warn Classic bumper, personally.
 
I miss the warn classic style. Those were the best looking bumpers on older trucks I thought.

To bad their isn't any local fab shops around that could help you out with a custom bumper. Hint hint.

Someone used to sell a kit that you welded together yourself. Came with the cut pieces and brackets, was very reasonable priced too. Check for a 2500hd in your year model, I saw it on the diesel forum.

Edit: Roadrhino sells a weld it yourself kit.

2500HD bumper should work for the rear. I know the fronts are different.


I'm going to hit up one of these guys that run fab shops and get somebody to build a front bumper for my Silverado.
