Where to get backspacing on wheels recentered?

My buddy has a set of 17" beadlocks he bought used for his Bronco. The problem is that they are set inboard too much. The tires rub the coils and rear leafs with very little flex. He has been looking at buying a set of spacers, but he is going to have to have a 2-3" spacer made for each wheel. I suggested having his wheels recentered, but he doesn't want them done backyard billie bob style. He wants to have them done professionally. Is there anyone locally (lexington, nc) that does them, or will he have to send them off?

Is it a trail only rig or daily driver? A 2" spacer isn't that bad, it would be waaaaay cheaper than getting them recentered

I'd recenter them tho if he wants them(only for trail only use tho), are they steel or aluminum?

It is a trail rig primarily, but he is pretty anal about things being right. He priced wheel spacers at around $300 for all 4. He said he would need 3" spacers. He is concerned with using spacers because of all the bad rap they have about killing bearings and breaking studs. They are steel wheels with bead locks so they can be cut and re-welded. Just looking to see if anyone around can rework the backspacing.

Bob Killian tire in Hickory used to do it cheaply. I called last wk and the guy that did it retired and they're not doing it anymore. They gave me a number for someone else but I lost it and never followed up on it.

Why not sell the ones he bought used that don't fit and use the extra money not spent on recentering or spacers and buy a set of steel wheels with the right backspacing and a set of weld on bead locks?
