We want to do a raised bed garden this year because our yard won't hardly grow grass, much less vegetables...last year we got 2 green beans and 2 or 3 cucumbers.

where is a good place to get dirt delivered from?

For raised beds, like my garden, I prefer using Wallace Farms Compost Plus. They're fairly close to you, over by Highland Creek. I'd check with them to see if they deliver. I usually just have them load my truck with the stuff and drive it back to Gaston County. Yeah, the compost is that good to be worth the drive. You won't find a better growing "dirt" for veggies and flowers.

In case anyone else is wondering, I called Wallace Farms. Their blended top soil with compost is $17/yard. Now I gots to find me a truck.

i haven't driven past it lately, but there used to be a sign that said free fill dirt when you started out on old concord salisbury rd. from branchview, once you go down the first hill there is a huge field on the right with a newish brick house and a bridge and on the left was the property with the dirt.

might be able to get some to put under your wallace, don't know what your plans are height wise.

i second wallace farms.
I brought in a truck load for the garden I have and also paid them to drop 10 tons of mulch one year.
