Where to mount computer???

I have decided to pull the propane off of my 715 and put on an TBI EFI system. Just wondering if I should just mount the computer up under the dash (I don't plan to swim with this truck), or get a longer cable assembly and mount it in the crossbed toolbox.

Under dash is cheaper (longer cable costs more), and rain shouldn't get to it (soft top should be on anytime it's raining anyway). Humidity is lower probably in the storage box (but hotter maybe in the direct sun with no ventilation).

How sensitive is the computer to moisture and humidity? What other alternatives are there? Tupperware? :)
 
When I put the Chevy vortec in the YJ I used to have, I put the computer in a shallow tupperware type container. I used RTV to seal around the lid, but I also drilled a hole in the bottom and attached a piece of tubing to drain any moisture that may get in anyway. Then I put all that in the dash where the glove box is supposed to be.
