Chevy engines are out of the question, I prefer to have the 302 b/c I already have the tranny and t-case and drivers drop front 60. Just trying to save some money, found a couple 6.0's on Pirate and they were $1000+ thats to much for me. I'm cheap!!

I'm with everyone else on the 5.8/351w. 5.0's are junk. I'm also with everyone that's saying 6.0, though most of the time it wouldn't be as cheap in the beginning, the entire rest of the drivetrain is cheaper/easier with chevy stuff and you'd have a decent motor. If you've already got that then 5.8 it is. Just have to fit the intake if it's from a truck or swap it to something else.

I gave $800 for the 5.0 motor out of a 92 Stang that I put in my cab truck. It had 120,000 miles on it. I got everything I needed, including all the accessories, wiring harness, computer, and modified the wiring harness myself. The only extra expense was I replaced the oil pan and valve cover gaskets because they were leaking a bit. I found the motor by putting a WTB add on corral.net which is a Mustang website. A guy up right near Stone Mountain buys mustangs and parts them out, and responded to my ad.
