ok ya'll i need your advice.... ive got a 94 toyota with the 3.slow in it and its about to blow up, and the tranny is locked up, now i just need your all's opinions now i have a built 350 with a brand new tranny and t-case sittin in my barn. I am also doin a sas before it moves again to run 33s. should i:1 replace the stock drivetrain and be done with it. 2. slap the 350 in it and modify everything. 3. do a supra swap which i already have a guy that says he'll trade me the 350 and stuff even. thanks for all the help!!!

you will have all the power you will ever need for that thing with the 350...screw the supra idea..

I am new to the Toyota stuff but from what I have heard/seen/read I would think that if you go 350 without upgrading the axles you will break stuff. I would recommend at least getting Longs and even then I am not sure how they will hold up to the torque the 350 can put out. On only 33s you could be fine, again I don't know. I don't think I have ever seen anyone run a 350 with Toy axles w/ Longs on only 33s.

I say it depends on what you want to do with the vehicle. A lot of Yota guys are happy with the 22R or 22RE and Longs running up to 38.5s or 9s and just expect to not have the power always necessary. If you are looking for crowd drawing power then I would go the 350 but plan to upgrade axles at some point.

Again, I am new to Toyota stuff and before I drove a 90 YJ with a 30/35 combo on 33 boggers so a lot of what I know isn't through experience but more witnessing and reading and talking to people who have run different setups. Take what I have to say as a grain of salt compared to a lot of the words of wisdom you can get off of this board. Plenty of first hand experience on here.

voted 350!
all the other options seem too complicated (surpa) or weak(stock) or loads of time(selling).

2JZ would be pretty cool but would take too much time, 7M is a POS but would make a good boat anchor. I'd do the 3.4, they run good and if you want more power get a blower w/ 7th injector or similar setup.

Sorry, worked at toyota a number of years and all they had was problems. Maintenance does have a lot to do with if but personally I would never drop a dime into one.

coice made

ok fellas well, i made up my mind and im puttin another tranny in it, tunin it up, new cv axles and its up for sale, great truck for a dd and i talked to my local toyota guy and he said that he thought it just needed a little sumthin done to the motor to run right, if anyone has anything they would trade for it or if you have a truck for sale for under 5000, pm me!!!
