which tire grooving iron to get?

interested in buying one just dont know much about them. whats the ideal head size etc.. any fead back would be great thanks!!

#4 Blades (used w/ a #4 head)- Makes a .215" wide cut
#6 Blades (used w/ a #6 head)- Makes a .375" wide cut

Lightweight but OK for occasional use. I have to buy blades every once in a while. As long as you don't get in a hurry works great.

i have used the ideal pistol grip groover before and it worked great....you'll know when its time to change blades lol...on a 36 i think it took me an hour to groove the wear bars and sipe every lug, and i was moving really good....ill be buying one as soon as i have the extra cash

Have a fan running beside you to blow the smoke and smell out of your face and the shop helps a ton!! Your build is looking good!!

My ideal heated knife has done me very well. Grooved the wear bars out of 2 TSLs, and grooved out the wear bars plus cut the outer lugs on 4 more TSLs. Nothing to complain about yet.

ten four on that... thanks shes coming along good getting the gears in this week and hopefully it will be setting on it on weight by the end of the week
