We got an Invite to ride w/ some NCTTORA guys up at Whippoorwill in North Wilkesboro...

All in all it was a good day at the foot of the mountains. Woodkrawler spent most of the day 3-wheeling and I think he should change his name to "Air Time".

the trail was alot of fun, i definately want to go back and do it again
 
Aren't most of the trails there 4wheeler trails? I think I rode there a few times years ago when we rode 4wheelers every weekend.

Some trails are narrow so I'd say if you're worried about paint scratches then it's not for you.

I also believe it's private and good luck finding it w/o an escort, it's in the middle of nowhere...

Yes...this isnt much of a mall krawler place if you want to venture off the trails and into the real fun stuff. Its not necessarily private but it is in BFE.
BTW...UNCC, drop me a PM if you guys want to head to Mtn City and I would be glad to show yall around.

Had a bunch of fun wheelin yesterday and today. Got some new body damage thanks to rocks, flopping in the "playground" and Metal Mangler and CoonDogger driving up onto me. Lost a bead today at a new place and broke a motormount.

It's like that about every place in NC... each group has a few places they wheel often and try to keep it private b/c you just cant trust the majority of wheelers out there IMO.

OR, word gets out and spreads and before you know it, it's truned into a trash dump.....

We wheel a few places and keep them "private" solely for those reasons... I believe it's the case here as well..

And yeah, if you dont know where it is... you'll never find it...

Stretch: 10-4 i'll let you know... it'll be in a few weeks though... let me know your availablity..

It was a great weekend. It's the first time in a while that I finished a trip without breaking anything, which is a nice change of pace. The new front axle and driveshafts are working out so far.
It's definitely private land, there are no trespassing signs all over it. However, Shawn is local knows the land owners. One of them stopped by on his atv and talked to us for a bit. He offered the use of his air compressor anytime we wanted it but we were almost done airing up anyway.
It was nice to meet the new guys and to get dirty from something other than turning wrenches. Thanks for posting the pics.

Awesome time. That waterfall was pretty fun! Woody, you better be glad my camera is in Granite Falls! By the way....... You won that contest, but you were the only entry.
