who can build me a steering set up?

FWIW, you can buy chevy 3/4 ton 4wd rod ends, inserts and tube and pretty much build it yourself. The only real "oddball" rod end is still just off-the-shelf chevy stuff and looks like this:

Woops, I forgot to mention you need someone to weld the tube to the inserts and you need to ream your knuckles and pitman arm for the larger TRE's. The nice thing is, you have off the shelf parts that you can get anywhere.

Edit #2. Also, if you want to get fancy, you can ream the knuckles out from the top to get the steering up and out of the way. You'll have to cut off the sway bar mount on the passy side, but it's not hard to fab up a new one and shorten the link on that side.

^^Word^^

IMO, the Rusty's TR you linked is a POS (just like the same earlier design for CJs from Rocky-Road  )...

If you get the parts I will help you out with this. It's pretty easy & I probably have some pieces of 1\4 wall d.o.m.

Do yourself a favor and build the Chevy stuff and make it over the knuckle. I have it on mine and its convienent to get replacement parts and knowing it is really beefy is peace of mind. I think I listed all the parts and part numbers in one of my other threads. You can search my name. I built mine for about $200.

I think i'm going to do the chevy swap. I put on an old man emu steering stabilizer to get me by for the next couple of weeks while i gather parts. who has a small enough piece of tubing to use for this? i would hate to have to buy a 20' stick of it and only use 4-5'.

If you still need this, give me a shout. I may have a piece of tubing ya need.
