My buddy's got a 99 Mustang Cobra with the hydro unit. He inadvertently took it apart recently, and pieces came out without him being able to note where they came from. There's limited info available online, and I don't fully understand how hydraulics work. We've looked at the diagrams and cutaways we've been able to find, and have assembled it how we feel it should be, but when the car is cranked, it sucks the pedal to the floor. We're at a loss. So I'm looking for whatever help I can get. Thanks!

Did you loose acculumater charge?

Time to suck it up and swap it for a reman unit and chaulk it up to a learning experience! :flipoff2:

Just like rebuilding power steering boxes, many attempt it, but few actually have good results...

Jeff, I couldn't say for sure, but it's likely. He split the case. Dave, that is looking like the way he's going to have to go. It's a fairly simple item, though. I don't understand why we can't get it back together. I don't like getting beaten by something this seemingly simple.

It's not as simple as it looks. Their a pain in the a$$ to rebuild. I would rebuild another Sunstrand H1 pump before I screw with these again.
