down at carolina beach for the weekend and wondered of it was worth goin to fort fisher and ridin around on the beach

It's alright. Just ride up and down the beach. Fort fisher is very low key. If you go to freeman park(north end) lots more beach and a little bit more fun. Both will cost you.

We took my wife's grand to the obx two years ago. Still getting sand out from under it.

I need to ride down for a pass this weekend for next year at Freeman park (half price through the 15 th) I'd be happy to meet up abd ride around.

Yeah I went to fort Fisher today and I agree freeman park is alot better in my opinion

I heard today that river rd. is gonna start being developed with 2500 homes. That sucks, since river rd is the quickest way around the island. That place is gonna be slammed.

Havent heard anything about that yet. I come down a few times a year to visit the girlfriends family. So things always change between visits

RIver Road is going to be developed but, River road is between downtown Wilmington and Carolina beach. They are re-aligning the road now, it should be open around the end of this month. Dow, road on Carolina beach is mostly in a "buffer" zone and can not be developed.

Yeah, I had a brain fart. I was thinking about Dow rd on the backside of the island.

Kure Beach. My favorite place on Earth.
River Road already has a couple of hi end locations on the Wilmington end, so really, no biggie.
Even it they loose the campgrounds near Snows Cut. (those places are holes)
Developing Dow on the other hand would be bad.

I had the Zook out at Ft Fisher back when you had to search through the 10 ft. tall scrub grass to find it .... ok place to just ride, the river side it like a paved road at low tide.

Went to Freeman before it was freeman. Meh, still ok.

The zook was no fun in the sand stock ..... just put it in 4wd and go.
It was actually better stock than it is with the current build.

yeah, random junk

Matt
