No one could loan him a pair of vice grips to steer joystick style?

That had to be disappointing.

LOL!! I could'nt, I use mine to hold my hatch up...Dang XJ's...lol

No joke man, after going through the trouble to get there, I'd even find a dang crowbar or other long chunk of metal and tack weld it on there rather than just going home...

alright alright I'll fess up....I went to unload my pile on saturday and my steering wheel didn't make it to the park with me, talk about feeling stupid.

Chris thanks for posting up! I will be one amazed dude if this turns out to be my wheel.

Oooh ooh now that I think of it, an old 4-way lug wrench would be ballin'. All ya need is a couple of batteries and some jumper cables... :D

He could of used Paul's steering wheel, he does'nt seem to use it anyway....Oops, sorry honey but you are good on the skinny pedal...lol

I assume it was some kind of quick disconnect??? I would have been goin to Advance and gettin me a el cheapo wheel if the column would have accepted one.

Thats like the guy a few years back that lost two?? 44inch boggers off his mud buggy goin down the int.Didnt he find em on CL for sale?????

Yeah it was on a quick release hub, I guess I left it sitting on the dash after I loaded up and it somehow bounced out of the rig. I live almost exactly an hour from the park so it wasn't that huge of a loss to go home, i was pretty upset with myself..

I weighed my options heavily before making my decision and I hadn't given up that I might find it on my way home and get to come back LOL..

Glad I could be of some help with the return of the steering wheel.
That's funny how my son found it while skateboarding under a bridge 31 miles away

Well, hopefully it turns out to be my wheel.. yet to be determined, but thanks alot for posting up either way.

My steering wheel always rides in the back seat of the tow rig for this reason.

;)
