So For the last 11 years of my 4x4 addiction I've always used hand tools to wrench on stuff! Have debated getting a compressor and impact many many times but recently seen an electric impact being used at a machine shop and got to researching!!! I've read so many reviews opinions on the impact I bought that I feel confident it'll serve me just fine especially with a 2 year warranty with no questions asked!! Wondering if any of y'all fine folks have used this brand? I paid 87$ for impact sockets and warranty I feel it's a good investment any input??

I'm sure I'll eventually go air but for price and not needing compressor it was a no brainer for my situation! I looked at the dewalts but for price I went cheap with warranty so we'll see how it holds up in doing control arm bushings and ball joints in next week so we'll see how good it works.

I have one of those.

Well I've not got to use it yet it's not as fast as air but if it'll do ball joints for me then it's served its purpose everyone acted like its heavy but it's not that bad if ya never used a air impact before lol! Glad I'm not the only person who's purchased one of these tho!

the electric guns don't tend to hit as hard and in some applications are too long, they work are better than nothing, but getting caught in the rain while working on junk just got more exciting !

Ive had a couple of em and the only real complaint is they get heavy after an extended amount of use, like changing a 8 lug wheel.

Looks like you visited Harbor Freight! I do too, on many things. I started with an electric many years ago, & it may have been the same brand, except it was made with Metal. Wasn't as strong as the air guns, & eventually quite hammering. Several years later I found a Mac Tool man, that did repairs. He checked it, & said it was wasn't worth fixing. The hammer assembly was worn out. Parts cost too much. I've stuck with air, & running a Kolbart now. I've seen a lot of guys using the battery powered impacts, both in shops & on the Trail. Haven't seen anybody with electric. Like Any tool, it's life will depend on the amount of use.

Yeah I'm Leary of harbor freight stuff honestly I've used a tube bender they had back in the day and it was crap for most part their 110 welder was a pos but it did a lot more Than I would have ever expected so I gave this a shot! I'm considering a battery powered but will prolly go to air when I get a shop setup out on our property. I've heard people review this impact and a few said they owned for many years without issue if it makes it the 2 years the warranty has it'll be worth the $60 spent on it!

I noticed it doesn't have as much of a knock as air also hopefully it'll have just enough tho... Lol

Yes, that's all true. I had a kobalt 700 ft-lb air gun and it lost its zing after 3 months, regularly oiled, dry air, still under warranty.. but I got a Mac gun.. put it to shame, even though I got the Mac used, compared to kobalt out the box. Still pounding as good as the day I got it.. tbh, kobalt gun was under $100 and has 3yr "no hassle" warranty.. well why do I have to show my ID with my receipt?!?!?? That's another thread. Same for their lifetime hand tools... Smh..

Btw, changing ball joints with a press tool is way easier if you give it a smack occasionally to shock the joint into moving.
