My 7 has only ever had a hard top. I'm looking at this combo.

I understand I will need the windshield header channels, the ones down the sides of the tub and the tub corners but what I don't get is it states I need the supertop now assembly. Where would that even come in to play with any of this?

My first CJ was a daily driver for a couple years back around the turn of the century and I ran bikini/windjammer/soft doors. It was pretty agreeable for climate mitigation and the windjammer makes highway speeds much more tolerable. Can't speak to the tonneau portion.

You won't need anything if you buy all that stuff new, I don't think. You just need a windshield channel, the channel that will come with the windjammer that mounts to the front of the floor step, and the channels for the duster. Not sure if the duster comes with channels or not. The jammer really helps with wind, like @grapehead said.

I think it's saying its designed to cover the bow assembly when it's folded down. So if you don't have the bow assembly it might not fit tight.

Edit: the one you've selected is made to fit around the soft top components:

Ah! I did not see the hard top option. It co.e with all the channels I need. Thanks for pointing out what I couldn't see.

FWIW I'm running similar setup on my TJ.

If you're looking for protection from the elements, it does OK at low speeds. Anything over 40 in even a mild rain, and you'll be wetter than a Kardashian in an NBA lockeroom

The upper door gap will be even bigger on a CJ with hard doors. I have no delusions of staying totally dry. I ran the same deal on my TJ as well and it did just ok. I just don't love full soft tops on CJs and even with my makeshift hoist, I'd rather not put the hard top on and off all summer long.

Same. I hate a top on a CJ period. Just ruins the lines....Bikini or GTFO

When my wallet cools down I'll have RevLimit fab me up a new cage that mimics ultra4 4500 series that actually looks more CJ like
The "family friendly" bars on the YJ and TJ look like crap IMO. The useless single hoop on the CJ is much more visually appealing.

The 4500 cars have that same profile and are just sexy.
