There's a button in the navbar at the top of the page... says "New Posts".

You can get to it through your UserCP (button at the top left of the navbar).

there are several forums I don't even browse...(like the Classifieds), so I've never used it, although I've known it was there...

my favorite change/setting that a lot of people don't use (based on comments about which page a post is on) is to change it from 10/page to 40/page...a lot less clicking when reading!!

but yea, i pretty much only use the New Posts button.

Edit Options (in column on left side)
Thread Display Options (halfway down the page or so...it's about the 4th setting in that section)
