I really don't like ebay bad experiences....wouldn't want to think of buying a vehicle there

Nice cop out there. Buying a vehicle on eBay is exactly like buying from anyone else; you look at all of the available information, ask questions as needed, evaluate if you believe the guy to be honest, then make to decision to buy or not buy. It's not rocket science. I bought my tow rig off of eBay and could not have had a better experience. If you're looking for a hard to find vehicle you'd be a fool to ignore eBay.

yeah its just that not being able to put your hand on something....in this economy people are tricky

If you get an older truck......I'd stay away from the chevy 6.2...

There's nothing wrong with the 6.2. It's a little loud, and it makes less power than a 22R, but other than that...

Also, for a long time you could only get the 3500 Dodge as a DRW. That makes it really tough to find SRW versions.

Then you find someone in the area and have them check it out. When I bought my Trans Am I had people all over the country looking at cars for me off of eBay. I just got lucky and found one in Sanford and was able to go test drive it before buying it.

if you want a chevy with a dana 60 and 14bolt, you wont find a 3/4 ton. if i am right all 3/4 tons came with 10 bolt/14 bolt sf. or just swap stuff.

I am planning on ending up with a 60 and 14....it just has to be a crew cab short bed

No straight axle Chevy(or Dodge I can think of)came with a four door cab and a short bed.

Depends of what year your talikn about. Most had ff 14 bolts and the earlier ones had 44 fronts.

Dodge did. In fact you could only get the 4wd Crew Cabs with a short bed, both 3/4 and one ton.

Look in the Dodge thread for pics of mine, or you can look at Bruisers multiple threads of his truck.

Dude, you gotta look ALL OVER for what you want.

I think I might've found the car I want, it is a 4 hour drive and a couple states over. But I'll be very happy with it.

Check out surrounding urban cities as well. Look heavily on Craigslist. On Craigslist, you'll look through 250 posts before finding one that is worth a darn, but when you find it you'll like it! Check big cities in VA, TN, SC and even Atlanta. Asheville, Raleigh, G-vegas, other G-vegas, etc.

Avoid vehicle specific forums. Those guys have a very high opinion on what they've got. You gotta find the guy who wants it outta his yard or his woman is nagging the hell outta him.

How long have you been searching? I've been searching for 3 weeks, finally might have a line on what I want. It has been an exercise in patience!

I have pretty much decided to look at the straight axle suburbans instead....they can be had for cheaper and are more abundent
