Why is it.....

:mad: Just because you have a big 4x4 truck people think your a dumb redneck. I take offense to this. Dumb people couldn't build something like that. If I see someone with 24's on there car or a low rider I don't think there are a pimp or drug dealer. What gives? We need to change this.
So are you saying all Rednecks are dumb? I kinda take offense. Just kidding I just don't really care what people think of me. I know I'm an ass hole.

Fact is, stereotypes exist, you have to deal with it in one way or other. And, unfortunately, they do exist for a reason.
Aside from the lifted truck with mud on the INSIDE of the windshield (I left some from URE just to remind me of home!), I also have long hair and scraggly beard, and due to some really unusual ocular defects I have pretty squinty eyes AND nystagmus, so I look like I'm stoned all teh time. I get "the look" all the time.
And you know what, I kind of like it.
Let people assume I'm stupid or inbred, that gives me the advatntage.
Once I open my mouth, they learn otherwise pretty quickly...

ooooOOOOOOOoooooo, I've been wondering about this. Thanks for clarifying. :D

No, that's what other people seem to think. I don't think any type of person is dumb unless they show me otherwise.

hey jay i didnt think u were a red neck cuz u dress like a lumber jack with your flanel shirt bluejeans and boots all you needed was an axe and beard

I find it's safer to take the opposite aproach. Everybody's a dumbass until they prove otherwise.

You should see some of the looks I get on base driving a jeep with a spool in the rear! Chirping tires in a parking lot always turns heads.
"hey man, something's wrong with your Jeep"
"no, it's supposed to do that" as my jeep goes chirp chirp chirp around a tight turn
