ok ill start by the current specs and usage.99 tj 2.5 liter manual 4.10 ratios on 31 1050 with about 3 inch lift,i currently have 15 by 8 simulock 4 inch back space and 6 inch bushwacker flares.i have done a ton of research on several forums with no luck on my question.i loved the look of the wide track when i bought it but after wheeling a few times on some narrow trails(atv type trails)i have found my self wishing it was more narrow for tight fits and turning radius.i will never lift it any more,no v8 convertions,it is what it is a 4 cyl tj.what the question is.....if i go back to stock steel wheels or even a rubicon type 16inch wheel can i fit the 31 possibly 32 under it with out a rub?

My tj rubbed with stock wheels and 31x10.50 wth 2.5 lift. I would run 31s and a 8 inch wheel with 3.75 back spacing with your setup.

I run 33x10.50s on factory steel wheels on a '98 TJ with 2 inch springs and 3/4 inch spacers up front. They will rub on the lower control arms when fully turned. But I wouldn't change a thing - just don't turn the wheel all the way, and it's fine.

yea.33 1050 are on my radar, but no regearing for now.32 1150 are the max ill go.rubicon 5 star wheels is what i would like to get,ive seen rubicons run some good size tires on those wheel.just not sure if those guys had rubbing issues to.
