I traded my 04 freestar for a 04 mercury moutaineer with all wheel drive and a 4.6. Well the funny part is I got it home and she drives it around and comes home and said there was one thing she does not like. She wants to lift it she said it was to low needs to be taller. I just thought that was funny she had never been wheeling or done much of anthing outdoors before I meet her and now she wants to lift her new ride. I guess I have made her my redneck woman.

I have never looked but I guess they make body lifts? Those got demoted to complete grocery getting status when they went IRS. Kind of like the Trailblazer/Envoy/Bravada (also grocery getters), I have never seen one with any type of lift at all.

Yeah, that sounds expensive and a pain to install. With a quick search I didn't see any for that vehicle.

The rear half shafts run through holes in the frame. There's no lifting those trucks w/o slinging a new suspension under it.

Good call on the 4.6L.

I dont plan on lifting it but was happy to find one with the 4.6 just trying to find out what it can tow now may use it for a tow rig

Envoy and Bravada are both solid rear axle.
