Wildlife is active again

Well, after years of development in sleepy little Mebane, which I didn’t need, in appears the wildlife are back. Tonight I heard a pack of coyotes on the north side of the house tearing something up. Too many squirrels and feral cats around. Honestly, I don’t mind nature doing some culling for me. The howls sounded wicked. They tore it up a few weeks ago as well. You push the wild life out and they’ll find another place to call home. But they get hungry enough and they’ll be back. Need to set up a game camera to get some pics.

Seems that the coyotes get real active around here every couple of years. Then they move on, the rabbit population explodes, then the coyotes come back around, and decimate the rabbits again. For a while last year, they'd gather not far from my bedroom window in the wee hours and yip and howl. (The coyotes, not the wabbits.) Didn't get much sleep when that went on.

The only thing I don't want around here is geese. So far, I've kept them out of the pond. Rarely even see one attempt it now.

And monkeys. I hate a monkey. Noah should have just let them drown with the unicorns.

I don’t like geese but i hate all Yotes…unless they are retrofitted into classic blue oval iron.

I’m an animal lover and will go over board to protect any animal I don’t plan to eat…except yotes. They trigger my cruelest predatory side

Are monkeys a problem down your way? We don’t have many up in Mebane other than the OP…..😜

American vs of the Hyena. I guess God has a plan for the existence like a darn mosquito. I love to here them but that's about it.

The only creature that has ever been actually mean to me, intentionally, was a blasted monkey. Other animals have had a reason. I have been dog bit (protective), near snakebit a few times (territorial), harassed by bears and racoons (wanting my food), etc.. But the damn monkey was plain old mean.

(It was somebody's pet.)

Its the closest to human so explains why they are mean assholes.
