I have a 74 k5 with a 2.5 inch lift and have been trying to research if a 35x12.5 tire will fit and not rub? I have not had much luck finding the answer. Do you any of you know?

I would like to use the Unique 252 series wheel. I know this doesn't matter but I'm sure some would be interested to know.

They should fit fine with a 2.5" lift and minor trimming.

Edit: was thinking about a different truck

I have had a few K5's and Suburbans and I have never been able to run a 35x12.50 with less than 4in lift. Even with that the fronts would rub when flexed and turned. Check Coloradok5 for picks of different size tires and lifts

Even with a 4 inch lift tires will rub at back of front fender. It takes a cut at bottom of less than an inch to clear.

How wide can I go with 33's? 15.50?

I'm trying to get the wider look. Right now the tires seem to tucked under.

I had an 84 Silverado it was basicly the same body style. I could run 33X12.50 with a 2" body lift. I tried running them stock height and found that anything over 11.5" would rub the rear lower portion of the front fender. After putting the 2" body lift on I was able to clear. Some people have put 2" spacers on these trucks with mixed results while trying to avoid the body or suspension lift. I would think that a combination of the lift and the spacers would allow you to brake in to the 13's on width.

i have a 76 k5 with 33x12.50x15's and didnt have to trim at all. that being said i put a set of 35s under it no lift at all but i was gunna have to cut the bottom of the front fenders for it not to rub like crazy! and yes even id i cut them not to rub while turning if u plan on flexing it u would have to cut all the way around ya fender
