will a lift kit off a ford explorer fit on a cherokee???

i have a 89 cherokee 4dr and my friend has a explorer with a 5" lift kit and it has leaf spring rear and coil front they look the same as the jeep but we dont know if it would work on my jeep ?

they are completely different. You could probably make the rear work somehow....but only because they are both leaf setups...it would take some work to do it.

The front....no way. They arent even designed remotely the same. The explorer is TTB, not coiled like the XJ. It has coils in it....but thats the ONLY similarity between the two.
