Will Ya'll Help Me Get This Guy?

I saw this clean looking 540I and a little later, this one (*edited-the second posting was deleted...hmmm). The first one, the guy from Fayetteville used pics from the SC ad. His is an auto, the other one a manual and says it has a cracked head.

I sent him an email asking WTF and he responed with a laugh.

Lol who cares. Whose going to bother looking at Columbia South Carolina 540is when they live in Charlotte? Get a life. Car looks the same. Btw its 3 different cars patched together because my phone camera doesnt work well and I need to buy a phone. Obviously its not a scam if I have a legit VIN on there

Now, he may actually have a car, but he is using pictures that are NOT his car, and does not state such in the ad. This if nothing else, is totally a misrepresentation of what his car looks like.

Feel free to email him, report and harass him. Stuff like this pisses me off.

How did he get pics of the car in the ad?

Most pictures posted online, you can just save a copy of from your browser to your PC.
So all he had to do was find the ad in the other CL listing, right click the pic, and select "Save image as".

Oh yeah... Duh
I was expecting something less subtle.

I don't see the big deal if he's just being lazy. If you are buying it sight unseen, thats quite foolish anyway...
If the car is materially the same, low quality craigslist pics are going to look just alike, whether its his car or a different one.

While I agree it is shady that he took them from another craigslist ad, what guarantee's that 99% of the pics on your local craigslist aren't pirated?

They might be, but I know this one is. Different wheels, door dings, paint condition.
As someone who has traveled 4 hours one way to see a veh that was misrepresented it just is a sore spot.

You can flag the add and CL might delete it or just post a message to warn peeps about his misrepresentation in the same areas listings.

If you wanna get really dirty, start up a bunk email address and put up a fake ad in m4m with his phone # attached.
