I saw this on JU, and I believe its on Pirate also.. Im not sure on the NC4x4 policy on this, so if I break a rule, I appologize. If it was just a raffle, i wouldnt have posted it, but I thought it was a good program. I'm also a sucker for helping those in need.
Win a COMPLETELY Refurbished Jeep Wrangler - $20
“Win this Jeep, a highly modified, completely refurbished 1997 Jeep Wranglerâ€
A fundraising raffle to benefit the Shane Beard Trust, sponsored by the Northeast Association of 4WD Clubs, Inc.
In August of 2005, Shane Beard, a 35 year old husband and father of two, was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Shortly after this, Shane reached out to his friends in the local off-road community to help him prepare his 1997 Jeep Wrangler for sale, in order to help ease his family’s financial burden. When the community heard his call for assistance, the outpouring was incredible. Many individuals, shops, suppliers, and manufacturers offered to pitch in parts and labor to help Shane “fix up†his Wrangler to help raise money. The Egg is completely rebuilt!
Shane has not only been a member of the Northeast off-road community, he has been one of its greatest leaders. As a long-time Vice President of the North East Willy’s Jeep Organization, Vice President of the Northeast Association of 4WD Clubs, and founder of the Northeast Online Wheelers (www.neow.org), Shane has made a huge impact in many lives. This man, who always went out of his way to be kind and to help others, now needs our help in return.
