My dad @moldman05 buggy has a warn 9.0rc winch.
It's mounted to a horizontal plate that matches the instructions and direction of pull is 90 degrees to that plate, out the front.
Can I rotate the entire winch 90 degrees, so that the mounting plate is now vertical, yet the direction of pull is still toward the front.
The bolts and mounting would be towards the front also.
I know I would need to keep the fair lead tangent to the spool, so the rope is aligned correctly.
I've searched a bunch and can't find anything specific that applies to this and don't want to screw up that winch.
In my mind it's a non issue and should be fine, but wanted to hear what nc4x4 says.
Thanks in advance.
