Any comments on winch selction for a TJ? Has anyone ahd any experience with Mile Marker?

I had an 8000lb, Never any problems. I have a 12,000 now, but have not had the chance to use it yet. But Rob is right. if you can swing the bucks, hard to beat a Warn Winch.

I have an Inch Marker M8000, got it for $400. It is reliable but kinda slow. The good thing about the Mile Marker it produces less heat so you can use it longer and it won't melt winch ropes unlike faster winches. Also it is sometimes good to go slow during a recovery. I think the newer Mile Marker winches have 2 speeds which is good. I have broke 2 winch ropes and am on my second motor. I think all parts have lifetime replacement even from water/mud damage, that the good thing about dealing with a company that has a military contract.
My buddy's xd8000 warn is fast and reliable and looks good with the internal selenoid. The levers are nicer on the warns....
