The roll up glass in a door on my 84 Toyota popped out of the channel on the bottom that held it in place. How do I reinsert it w/o breaking the glass?

I found the info in my manual DUH!...."put weatherstripping on the glass and lube w soapy water. Using a soft faced hammer, gently install the channel over the weatherstripping. the rear edge of the channel should be 10 7/8" from the rear corner of the glass".
