Has anyone been to Windrock in Oliver Springs, TN? What did you like and dislike? Would it be to difficult for my IFS tacoma?

Coal Creek is GREAT park! The new camping facilities are awesome. New bath houses, hookups, electric, etc. Power washer available :) There are miles and miles of trails. Some are undoable for even the best built rigs, many are just basic coal mining roads. Coal Creek has something for everyone and is a must see if you have never been. Only down side is it is a little pricey, $17 a day for each adult, $10 for under 12. This is a super OHV park to visit!

I've been numerous times. Your IFS Tacoma will be fine. Just pay attention to the map and trail ratings (and preferably go with someone who's been and is familiar with the place.....due to the size and scope of the place).

Have a blast. Good place to go.

Ditto on what they both said. I was there for a few days in June with a group and had an blast and can't wait to go back!

I used to not like Windrock but I think it's a great place now. It is a little steep on price but if you've got the money it's worth it. Try trail 16. It's a good trail and offers plenty of scenery.

You'll be fine and you'll have a ton o' fun.

Stay off Rattle Rock, you don't belong there. I recommend parking either at the top or bottom and watch the guys tear up their stuff. That is fun.

Enjoy the scenery. There is a lot there.

Wheel up to the windmills and stand under them. They go WOOSH WOOSH WOOSH WOOSH which is super cool.

Just FYI, there are hotels within 20 minutes of the trail head. Something to consider...

Awesome!! Thanks so much for the comments. Looks like it is only 4.5 hrs drive from Charlotte and open year round. That is very cool. I have been going to URE for a couple of years now and would like to go somewhere new. Only other place I went was gultches. I wasn't very impressed. It might be cool 4 extreme built rigs on the one triple black trail. But the other trails were to easy. Not much middle level there. Thanks again for the info! I definitly wanna go now.

Still one of my favorite places!

Just be sure to heed the advice given... go with someone that's familiar with the trails (trail marking is VERY sketchy, so the map does little good) because you can go from a bunny trail to FUBAR (Atomic Ridge) within feet up there!

If there are stockers in your group, they can bypass the trails that feed the top (mudholes, Little Mule, etc) on the asphalt and walk down to those feeders to watch or play.

Wow!! I saw ur videos. That is a badass frontier u have!! I saw the random buggy crossing the mud pit sideways. That was nuts!! Windrock looks very awesome. I wanna go but not sure when I can get a 3 day weekend. Hopefully labor day. I have a buddy with a tj on 40" irocs but he has never been to windrock either so I will take ur guys advice 4 sure and go with someone who has been b 4. I might post something up under happenins when I no when I can go.

Fubared on atomic ridge been there done that but had a blast

I used to think that trail wasn't much until I stood on it and literally beat my and the truck to death. After I made it 10 feet in 30 minutes I gave up and turned around.
