alright, dont make fun of me because i used to have a YJ, i cannot for the life of me figure out how in the world to get a windshield channel on the TJ. i have a hard top and just took it off for the summer and i am used to a YJ with a soft top. help me out TJ guys. pics would be great too.

I take it you have an aftermarket top? My safari top windshield channel just hooked into the stock soft top slots in the windshield frame itself. Stock tops have two "clips" that simply lock into the slots in the windshield frame. Sorry I don't have any pics.

You can see the slots above the visors:

And then the soft top latches when the top is on:

yea, well i dont get off of work till around 9 or so every night. i live right off of ray road so i think you are still really close. i might have to drop by or you swing by, cause i am clueless. the guy i got the jeep from gave me the windhsield channel and i think he told me how it went but that was this past winter and i cant remember anything i did yesturday much less last winter.

Remove the self tapping screws that are in the windshield frame. Place the channels in place sticky side down lining up the holes. If the holes and reliefs on the channel do not line up with the holes and sunvisor bracket swap them left to right. Reinstall the self tapping screws being careful not to overtighten. After it is installed you should be able to see how the tab that runs the full length of the bikini fits in the channel. It just slides through from the side. Then you attach all the straps. To work around the soundbar you might need a small flathead screwdriver and some needle nose pliers.

thanks kev, i was hoping you would be reading this. i could not for the life of me remember how to do that. i'm gonna try that before i head to work at the gym...
