I need help. I've got a buddy with an old house, 1920s, and a circuit had gone dead taking out lights in a few rooms. Naturally, the wiring is a mess. You've got romex, rag wire, knob and tube, etc. I can't find the failed junction. I searched as much as I could. All breakers are good. I've got a feeling the failure is in a little attic area above the bathroom that looks like it's fed by a knob and tube run, but I can't find where it starts or ends, and I don't have time to dig any deeper. I know when to say I'm over my head. It's not my house. If it was, I'd dig in.
Anyway, is there anybody on here that would be interested in taking it on or has someone they can recommend? I don't know any local electricians. Thanks!
