Winter Projects

Things that are set in stone.

Front and rear 4-link.
Cut frame
Front full hydraulic steering
Doors off
Internal cage
Tube bed
Winch

Things im looking for, either a hp Dana 60 to go with my 14bolt or two front Rockwell’s.

Finish my cab truck. It is getting close.

Install the 1.6 16v engine in my Sami. Probably add power steering, some YJ springs, TC gears, and 32-33" tires. That should take me at least until the summer, but most likely til next winter at my pace.

Put in the full width 9", Lift again, spool the rearn and fix the crappy carb to get it to run decent.

when i get back from Korea in the spring a set of longfields 30 splines
a internal cage and bead locks, then plenty of wheeling

Well I need to get my front wheel drive working again. I went to DPG and tried going over a pile of rocks and scraped bottom, next thing I know the front wheels are doing nothing much.

Chase Perry says there's a vacuum line AND some kind of electronic sensor involved, anyone know for sure where either of those are on an S15?

Other than that, I found a flat, painted step bumper from an S10 pickup and want to swap it for the stock rear on the Jimmy. Just from looking at where bolt holes are, it looks like needing at least one pair of holes drilled. But hey, if I can get a jeep bumper on the front...

1) Install the OME springs, shocks, and leafs in the 03 taco. (Already bought the lift)
2) New tires (probably 255/85/16 BGF MTs)
3) Lock front and rear with ARB
4) Regear (maybe)
5) Figure out if I'm driving the ARB locker with CO2 or a compressor

By this spring, I'll go from a pretty stock taco to a fairly trailworthy machine.

hydro assist steering, beadlocks, and tranny swap are all in the very very near future. i might do a doubler while the trannys out.
