I have a 95 suburban, today I have my wipers on intermittent and then they went to continous. turned them off and they did it again. works on int. for about 1 or 2 cycles and then starts to work all the time, what needs to be replaced?

any help is appreciated.
 
What really sucks is when the board goes bad and runs wide open even with the key off.
 
u can pull the board and many times solder back where there is a break. This is the case 50% of the time. Very common
 
Thanks, I rarley run wipers at all ( rainex ) but sometimes you just gotta. I realy miss the intermittent option. I'll check the board ASP. Burb is in shop now getting exauhst manifold and new pipes and muff. You would think it would last longer than 170,000 miles! Can the switch be cleaned and if yes how?
 
it is almost always the board under the hood at the cowl. Its in the black houseing with the motor.
 
I'm with the others on the board issue. I've heard of more of those going bad than the switch. If you can get out and to me in Pfafftown, I'd be happy to take a look at it for you.
 
Terry, are you sure someone didn't mess with your wiring? I mean, I heard a Story of a guy that messed with the wiring on a Hummer so that the horn blew when they hit the brakes or something to that effect.

Saw that on a s-10 once. Push in the lighter and the dome light would com on.

Amazing!! I've heard of the same thing happening to some FJ-40's in the same area too. :lol:
 
mbalbritton, sounds like you know me and the person who did it (hummer). If you know what I'm talking about. Nobody has messed with wiring, it worked fine yesterday till later in the day. Rich, Watsup buddy?

Thanks to all the guy's, fixed the problem tonight! Picked up burban from muff shop and flat towed my 4runner back talking to the %&*#!$ wipers all the way home, pulled into shop and grabbed a handfull of tools, 7 minutes FIXED! real simple, contacs were dirty on motor, Everything on int. speeds works perfect. To all of you that helped, stop by and let me thank you in person! Hope to see you at THE FLATS on the 28th!
 
with all the rain we had last week mine are doing great so far, maybe I just got lucky.
