How do you wire up your CB? I have wired it directly to the battery and I have used a fuse box jumper. Which way is best? My CB's hot wire has an inline fuse.

The one in my tow rig is hooked to a constant hot circuit on a Painless Performance auxiliary fuse block. Got the same auxiliary fuse block in my Jeep but wired the Jeep's CB to a switched hot circuit.

Best way is straight to the battery with fuses in both lines.
What you have will work ok.
Having straight to the battery helps (usually) not to pick up alternator whine and other vehicular related rf crap.

Thanks guys, I am going to go straight to the battery, even found some holes in the fire wall where the PO had routed something similar, so score for not having to cut a hole!

Do what you want but the 4th theory of cb radio antennas states that any antenna that requires you to cut a hole in a vehicle will work better than one that doesn't!

 Matt :D
