Working on a buddys wj with 4inch lift. Ok the issue is death wobble. Got to looking under it and it has a jks adjustable track bar but also has a drop bracket that some body attempted to weld to the stock bracket, thinking to myself it does not need a drop bracket with the adjustable, but called jks to conferm any way. Also it has a dual steering stabilizer set up that the drag link rubs at full lock and cuts the turning radius in half. Will not turn hardly at all. But I cut the welded drop bracket off and rebolted the thack bar to the original location after adjusting and it is better but still gives death wabble at 60mph. Thoughts? Idea's? Need help asap

Something's loose or the toe is off. Have a buddy wiggle the steering wheel from 11-1 o'clock with the engine off and look underneath for something loose. Grab a tape measure and verify 1/8" toe in.

Check back and we'll get ya fixed up!

I had the same prob with mine. It was the tie rod ends. VERY VERY SLIGHT movement! Seems to be good now after trying every thing else even the harder track bar bushings. New rod ends and mine drives fine now.

He's got new rod ends. And new t bar bushings. Can any body verify track bar length from eye to eye? Have not checked toe in yet but he said he had I aligned recently. Did not think of that but should have considered it after seeing the quality of work the shop did with that t bar and drop bracket It will be a few days befor I have it back again. My work schedule sucks lol. Thanks guys gonna get at it again Sunday. Hope in to find an eye to eye length for the t bar. Jks can't come up with one

The length of the track bar is not very crucial. The most important thing is the tightness of the bar.

I had the same problem with my wife's WJ with a 4.5" rough country lift. Apparently it was a problem with ALOT of people because rough county has changed the kit from when I got it. I replaced the track bar with and adjustable one, replaced all the tie rods, also the ball joints. I had it aligned at the shop the local 4WD shop uses. I also added adjustable control arms and played with them to get pretty good results but still the occasional death wobble. After I saw the revised lift kit from rough country I added some 1/8" plate to reinforce the track bar area on the frame side. That helped tremendously.

The revised kit also had drop control arm brackets. I believe that is where the true problem lies. After talking to MANY shops that install lifts every day, a long arm WJ will never give any death wobble issues, but a short arm lift is about 75% issue. I believe the problem is with the design of the suspension just not taking to a short arm lift.
