I built something similar using fence posts but that is way nicer. Time to upgrade that router too! I'm running an older 3.5hp crafstman with a 2" surfacing head.
This was using the only router I have access to atm. I will play with this and probably upgrade to the 1/2 Fuel later. Ran some quick test yesterday but didn't have the time to fully surface my test piece. I braced two corners dismantled it into 2 pieces and its in the shop. I tarped the table since there was a chance of rain. I've got to get a cover over the table asap though.

Got a nice day and no rain so I got the slab mill out to test it out. This red oak would stall the router if I took too deep of a pass. When the battery died I realized that was why. Fresh battery and she worked great. First observation is it’s too high above the table so I’ll have to swap the cross pieces from bottom to top. At this height I believe it would only work well with pieces 3” - 4” thick.

We are in the middle of a kitchen remodel right now. We did tongue and groove bead boards on the ceiling. There were a couple old windows that were covered by masonite glued on the block wall covered in wall paper. Wife thought it would be nice to have a shelf in the old window. So I built it Sunday. We installed it today.
