Cut these slabs off a pecan tree that didn’t survive the tornadoes from a few months ago. I’d like to make a couple tables out of the two bigger ones. Not sure what to do with the smaller ones.

So what should I do? How should I finish them?

End tables?

End tables?
That’s what I was thinking. Was hoping someone on here had done something similar before and had advice.

Even though the tornado took it down, it was budding when it was cut, so it’s still green. Do I wait until it dries before I do anything with it?

Do you have one you recommend? Anchorseal 2 seems to have good reviews.

Any of it will work. I’ve heard of people using paraffin wax. It’s just to slow down the drying process.
Anchorseal is probably paraffin wax with other stuff added in to let it breath a little to help dry it.

Wrap it in iron and stand it with gears, wrenches and old chain. Acid etch all your steel and clear coat.
