Woohoo got my Job location

I graduate from state in May and Commission into the Air Force as a NAV. I was supposed to go to Randolf AFB, texas for panel Nav training, but I just got offered an Upgrade to go through the Navy's Strike Fighter program at Pensacola. It will put me out directly into F-15e's and If I do well in the first stages I will have the possibility of going into the Strike Fighter Pilot program to F-15e's or F-16's. I am stoked.
 
Congrats man. I have been in the A.F. for 11 years now and love it. Granted I do not fly the planes but fix them so you all can. Good luck with the school. As an Aircraft Technician I will say try to remember and acknowledge those folks that get the planes air worthy. They are overlooked alot of the times. BTW I am an Aircraft Fuel Systems Craftsman (I crawl through the fuel tanks and fix leaks). Good luck and always good to have another off-roader in the service. if you are at Moddy anytime look me up.
 
Yea, I have heard people talking about crawling around in wing tanks, I am gonna be honest and say I am glad I dont have that job. I am looking forward to P-Cola though, and I talked with a couple buddies who got sent there and they said the Navy's flight training program is a lot cooler than the AF's right now.

Well see thats the problem . . . the stuff I'm qualified for I don't want to do, and the stuff I want to do I'm too qualified for (or at least don't pay enough for me to afford my stupid college loan payments) :shaking:

Maybe I can find some happy medium somewhere :rolleyes: for now I guess I'll just keep putting off the inevitable hoping the that the perfect job will fall into my lap :lol::handed:
