in todays disposable retail world its hard to find a good pair of boots.

whats out there thats lasting you guys more than three months?

Thorogoods. Union-made in Wisconsin. Love 'em.

Redwing king toe. I get about 2 years out of a pair, and that's on concrete 50+ hours a week.
I've tried cheap walmart boots and timberland pro. I had the soles worn out in less than a year.

I am a fan of the American made Keen for 3 seasons at work spring, summer, and fall. I spend quite a bit of time on ladders and power poles every day and on all sorts of terrain and can get 2 years out of them. The rest of the year I wear Georgia boots loggers and am wearing a pair I've had about 7 years or more.

Red wings...work gives us a voucher for a new pair every year...I've had the same ones for about 3 yrs. Probably need to be resoled. Before red wings, I had a pair of Georgia boots that wore like tennis shoes.

I wear redwing steel toes in the fall and winter. I've had two pairs and the last pair resoled once. In the summer I wear whatever trail hiking low top shoes are on sale. I get a new pair every year bc they wear out and get nasty with mowing the lawn.

with kevlar for "steel toe".

Here's some more boot info from a thread I had a few months ago.....I've been wearing 8" Timberland Pro Helix for a few years now. I probably would have tried a pair of Keens if I hadn't got a smokin' deal on another pair of the Timb's.

What's on your feet...

Irish setters elk trackers are what I've wore for 13 years first two pair lasted me 2 years each last three pair have lasted 5 months max! If boones tries the dinner vicious hybrid boot it's pretty bad ass not gonna lie but bottom string hook screwed my toe up when crouched so I went back to Irish setter! Goretex is a must for my work tho

I hate tying boots, but I also hate slip ons because my foot slides around and wears out the inside of them. Then, I stumbled upon some Wolverine's with a BOA Lacing system. Perfect! No tying and I don't wear out the insides of them.

They also have Vibram soles on them, which i love. I wear them every day and they're pretty damn comfortable.

I was wearing the Keens mentioned above for a year or two, and they have held up great. But I was given a pair of boots from work made by Michelin, and they have held up surprisingly well. I've got about a year and a half on my current pair, with my Keens resting in the closet.

They are the best thing I've worn for painted concrete floors, with slick grease/oil on it. I've pushed a car across the shop through oil, and wasn't slipping around.

I've got some Timberland Pro's that are "Very Well" broken in right now..very comfortable..like them very well..Have also had several pairs of Red Wings in the past..very good as well.

Herman Survivors. Very well built and aside from a slight discomfort around the heal area, these may be the perfect work boot for what I do.

I love my steel toe crocs.

Do they move on your feet or does the lacing system allow you to get them tight? I like that boot a lot May consider switching from my Irish setters to these but I'm not sure about the no goretex liner how water proof are they?
