Not happening. I drove for an hour and a half, drifted around the courthouse in Lincolnton, made it to Pumpkin Center and couldn't get up the hill near Antioch Church and the little Hovis detail place. Turned around at Hovis's. That is about 10 or 12 miles from my house in west Lincoln Co. I've never been more glad to slide into the driveway.

My first workday of 2011 will have to wait until tomorrow, or possibly Wednesday, as I was sick all last week.

I don't think my boss is too happy.

It is, and lowered. It drifts pretty well though!

at least you're 2wd, the guys that have a 4wd vehicle with big rims and low profile tires that still believe they can go out in this tic me off. There the ones that seem to get stuck and block crap up for everyone.

Stay safe!

I hear ya. Better safe than sorry. My wife is debating on whether or not to go to work. She works in winston and has to drive an hour to get there. Probably not a good idea

I got up early about 4 am thinking Id go to work early and get off before it got bad. Had 3-4 inches already. I sit here for about 30 min thinking and finally just called in. I do not have a 4x4 but the Integra generally does pretty good in the snow. In the past I have always went to work no matter what. Friday they decided to give pay cuts to some of us and my dedication has changed.

The way I look at it, the company is not going to pay for my vehicle if I wreck in the snow, so I generally stay home in the snow and/or ice.

Took Leslie to work, FSJ Cherokee did good. Recaps hooked up great.
Called my work, they shut it down till 7 am in the morning. Of course, that could change, since they are calling for ice at the end of all this

That is a nice looking truck!
Thanks!

Agreed. However, my company runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. I felt the need to at least make an effort, especially after having been out all last week.

My crew called, I'm the only one that didn't make it in... :bounce2:

I still don't feel guilty for not being there. I became the guy that if I were riding behind me, I would have said "look at this idiot, what's he thinking trying to drive that truck in this?" I don't like idiots on the road, even when it's myself.

When I used to live up near the NC/Va line I worked in Raleigh.I went through the same thing,we would start getting weather up there and all I had to drive was my Mustang. The install manager was from NY and would always raise hell with me staying home.Ultimately I drove in on one of those days and ended up putting my mustang in a ditch and messing up the entire passenger side of it.I won't do that again.

Thanks!

Mine runs all the time too, I work at a nuclear power plant. But since I'm in engineering and not in Operations, I'm not exactly running the plant, so I stay home.
