World Population

Only. a crisis for Ponzi schemes such as corporations and governments that don’t balance their budget

One contributing factor:

Valid points.
You can tell an author's bias to amplify an issue when 28% is "nearly one third" instead of "a little over a quarter".

That number does not include illegally performed or the day after pill. Gen z is the generation where good times lead to weak men in the old saying

I am anti abortion and also anti people. Trend hasn’t changed notably in any direction:

still don't see an issue.

the eff we need 25 million more people in the USA for?

i've never understood this blind drive to build/drill/dig/blast/clear/pollute/pave over/use up ever single last piece of good earth just to grow the population

no other species on the planet behaves this way
There needs to be population growth and inflation to cover the debts of the previous generation unless we want to go to war to settle debts the old fashioned way

I had no idea that many abortions were performed.

They don't either. Its all guesses that vary wildly depending what color shirt you wear, because a lot of things aren't reported or aren't what they are polled on. Possibly an undercount, maybe not.
Numbers don’t add up. We would notice a 20 million drop. Either there’s more to the story or it’s exaggerated.
Eggs Zachary.

More importantly, since this article didn't provide any useful reference to the data source, I had to go digging for it.
You can read it here for yourself:

To their credit, the report is very factual and doesn't draw extensive conclusions or extra meaning... unlike what is linked above.
To your point - Take a look at the first chart
Yes, abortions are on the rise... since 2020... but holy hell look at the long range trend. You wanna talk about an "aborted" generation? Thats us late Gen X and Millennials. It was 2x the rate back then, and a much smaller total population of the country at the time. By the math of the above prior article, that means something like half of us never made it.

This "striking increase" is a just a TINY blip by comparison.

The "more to the story" is that (1) this is a small effect compared to history and (2) immigration has been increasing to balance out the decreasing birth rate. That's how our population has remained slightly positive.

^typed this at the same time as the above.....tracking!

no you wouldn't, especially if those numbers assumed Plan B pills, which has been happening for years

and wasn't that the purpose of opening the borders and 'resettling' people in population 'decline' areas over the past decade or more?

the population is increaseing, just not with 'Americans'

Those old school 6+ numbers🤯 I could only imagine it being normal for 6 children would be hard to handle
I'm sure it wasn't a cakewalk, but you just structure your life differently, and when its the norm, people are just used to it. Society used to be built around families being larger and depending more on one another.

I have several friends that have big families and also come from big families. For them its just... normal.
