worth it?

'bout to buy a 1999 short bed single cab SILVERADO LT/Z71 with 5.3L Vortec V8, IROKSuperSwamper 36" Tires, 16x10 eagle alloy's, and most importantly Zero Body lift with a 9" WhipLash Suspension lift. Drive train, transfer case AXLES and everything else important was replaced with the lift...its a sharp truck (bright red, lots of random chrome) with a superclean interior and lots of other bells and whistles...the guy wants 15K-so the question is, is that truck worth the money assuming it is in perfect condition? and on top of that, he has never touched anything but pavement in that truck. lemme know-chase


p.s. If this doesnt belong in the general chit-chat then maybe someone should sponsor me so i can post other places...i wanna sell my bronco II but cant post in the friggin for sale section...im 17 but i think im mature enough to post with the rest of the big kids

IT all depends on what you want it for. It is gonna take a lot of maintainance. I would think it to ge a gas guzzler, tires are not gonna last that long, insurance will be a hunk of change for you. If you want it to wheel i would say no. If you want it to attract the redneck type gals, have deep pockets, I would say go for it.

I thought for a few years people were dogging the Whiplash lifts pretty hard due to being crappy. If I recall there were even a few lawsuits out against them. I dont have any first hand experience with them, just what I remember reading on the ever knowing Internet.

in reference to your p.s., who are you? and why should someone sponsor you? searching revealed that you have posted 7 times, once was a want ad for a big American truck, two were questions about something for sale, 3 were for speeding ticket advice, and this thread about a truck being worth it. no introductory post saying who you are, where you are, or anything. just a p.s. saying how mature you think you are at 17. based on this, its no wonder your not sponsored. but ill make a deal with you. july 15-17, ill be at uwharrie. come down for a day, let me meet you, we can wheel, and then ill sponsor you.
