Found a early 90s tracker but ended up being a automatic. Turned me off but want to get opinions on them. Its also not a convertible so maybe a little heaver.

i have a 96 tracker with 200k on it and its a auto i love it still runs great, but the early 90s had a 8v instead of the 16v mine has. if you dont buy it i may be interesed in it ive been trying to find another one pm me.

Trackers & Sidekicks are pretty capable vehicles.

- You could keep the IFS, give it a minor lift and run 31's

- You could do an SAS and put leafs up front to run 33's to 35's

- You could go all out and get the Trail Slayer kit from Trail Tough, run some Toyota axles, and go all out.

Ironically I was just thinking if these vehicles are capable of anything on my way to work today. I saw a lifted tracker and thought "what a waste" but maybe Geo does make something decent..... I doubt it though... Would be a fun vehicle to beat the piss out of on the trails though.

we have a tracker in our wheelin group.. they are awesome.. the one in our group has 30 or 31's stock, and goes more places then a lot of the stock jeeps... they are great

Geo tracker = suzuki sidekick = very similar to Sammi but w/ more Mom-friendly body.
Geo never actually made any cars.

I picked up a Tracker this past summer for a DD to work(27mpg), awesome little rig. It is a 16V w/ 3 speed auto, I took it to URE and had a blast with open diffs and 225 street tires. Most fun I have had at URE, more of a challenge with it than my 1 ton K5. Glad I chose not to take the K5 that day....:D

Well, it disappeared for a while but found it again across town. This was the first time I have seen it in daylight and its not in bad shape but both fenders are dinged up. Seats have several cig burns and that annoys me, tires have tread but kinda dry rotted, spare is totally bad, and there are signs of a oil leak. Also found a White LSI soft top and its $1200 OBO but has rust issues on undercarriage however has nice alloys. Good tread on smallish tires and a good spare, newish top. Would like to check it out in daylight and considering if I can get both swap the best of everything to the hardtop and selling the soft top. How rare are the hard tops? I cant say I have seen many, Its not the removable one. Guess I need to start taking a few for a ride.

The Trackers/Sidekicks are an extremely capable truck (yes, I said truck as they have a complete ladder style frame) for their size and money. You can lift one for under $100, add tires for around $200 + - and have one cool little truck that open on both ends, will go better than most Jeeps would. I have proven this and made more than one rig look funny up against mine. I don't have it anymore, but I was going forward and backward up a trail where a lot of other built trucks were having troubles either way. Mine was only lifted 2-3" with 235/75 AT's, bone stock gearing and engine, not locked. ;)

**I am not trying to start a war here, and I am not picking on you, simply standing up for what I believe in and know to be true. :huggy: **

You forgot the Daihatsu Rocky.

Geo/Suzuki never had anything at all to do with Daihatsu, you can count on that. ;)
