Met a woman who bought this and is driving it from Ohio to Myrtle Beach to San Francisco then back to Myrtle beach then down to Miami. Wearing a heated/cooled riding suit with full face motorcycle helmet.

I thought it was a Chinese knock off Can Am Spider thingy til I zoomed in on the Polaris emblem.:poop:

Oh and no go on the trans whatever travel show.

Much bigger than a Can Am Spider..this thing is as wide as the Lincoln Town car beside it, in the front end.

220 on the speedo. She claimed to have gone 160 for a couple miles with plenty left. Idk about that though.

She'll have to avoid Texas and Connecticut...

And no, it looks fun but shitty weather for long periods would kind of ruin it for me

Hell why not! I think it'd be fun.... I would ride a motorcycle that far. Wet weather would suck, but it seems like she's got plenty of time on her hands. Just pull off and wait it out.

$25,000 for a half car.

Given Polaris' history of reliable, dependable, UTVs....Id demand a chase truck.

But YEAh I'd be down.

I would hate to be on a wet road doing 60mph and get passed by a big rig, that little thing would be fish tailing all over the road.

Hell no. I'd hate to go get a gallon of milk in that thing. On the other hand, if I had $25,000 to blow on a road trip vehicle, it would be a sport touring BMW motorcycle. I should have made my trip happen when I was younger. Now with life's responsibilities, it seem impossible.

Meh....... I'd rather drive my jeep if anything

My choice is this. Its 20K so that would leave 5K for a set of hard saddle bags, nice set of leathers, boots, gloves and a bitchin helmet. I could easily spend a month doing the trip.

Golden Eagle pass, minimal clothes and I'm out.

No, I would not drive that thing across the country.

I have dreams of one day riding a dual sport bike around out West and maybe other parts of the countty, but I might trailer it out there. I read the book 'Long Way Round' some years back, and it sparked the interest in doing some long dual sport trips. Shit'l never happen anyway. I'll get old and die first, lol.

Coast to coast, not on that....want to sling my Catalina across this country one day.

I would day trip that thing over & over.....

What's the deal with people from Ohio and Myrtle Beach?
Actually I asked a guy I work with about that and he said years ago that they encouraged people to travel to the Outer Banks and Myrtle Beach. Believe it or not it's quicker to go there than to travel east to go to the beach. They offered real estate and special deals to people from Ohio. He said often times when he goes to the beach he'll se people sporting old school Miami of Ohio sweatshirts and the like.

I don't get the concept behind those things. If I wanted a bike I'd just get a bike. If I wanted to feel the wind in my hair but was scared of a bike I'd get a convertible or a jeep. Maybe that's just me though. As far as taking a bike across country my parents did it in 83 on a Honda 750 so I wouldn't be scared to on a touring bike or a gold wing.

Hell.... y'all dont like fun! Id ride a moped cross country if I had the time and money! Anything would be a memorable trip and you'd have some awesome stories to tell... especially if you took all back roads. I can hear it now... "There I was, coming down hwy 9, I saw the grass moving on the side of the road. Then there he was... The Lizard Man!" :flipoff2:
