So my air bag light is on in my Voyager. I just put a piece of tape over it.

I realized the rear wiper didn't work and figured out that the air bags and wiper go out together and that there was a recall for it.

I called the dealership and sure enough, there was a recall for it.

I am taking it over tomorrow and they are installing a new rear wiper free of charge.:lol:

Oh, it is a 95 Voyager with about 210k miles.

I know what you mean. Back in July I had just paid my crew cab off, it's an 04. About a 3 weeks later I was going down the road with the a/c on high and started smelling something like an electrical fire. Great. Figures time I pay it off it's about to burn to the ground. All the gauges were fine and couldn't find out where it came from. The next day I got in it and the fan would blow on all speeds but high. I figured I could live with it. A week later I got a letter from GM about a recall for the blower switch going bad. Fixed free of charge in one day.

Wow, of all the circuits to be wired together, the rear wiper and the air bags.

Although it makes sense...my mom wrecked her 02 Tahoe a few years ago. When I went to load it on the trailer the rear wiper was going, unloaded it the same...I couldn't get it to turn off so I eventually pulled the fuse. Fixed everything with it, and so I figured hmm, I'll put the fuse back in, no rear wiper...good. She calls me a week later, the rear wiper is going crazy  Pulled the fuse, and never put it back. Who uses the rear wiper anyway?

Although the bags didn't deploy when she wrecked, just thought it was an odd coincidence.

My 03 had the same issue. It isn't the blower switch though, it is the blower motor resistor/relay. Easy 5 minute fix, the parts cost about $30. I did this way before the recall came out, actually knew nothing about till I just searched after you said it was a recall that apparently just came out last year. Oh well, not worth fighting the dealership over $30, it would take more time/effort than it's worth.

I've had a recall for the speed control on my F250 for about 3 years now ( ever since I've had it ) the recall letter said it could cause a fire under the dash. 2 weeks ago I saw the same model truck on the side of the interstate burned down. Took mine in the next day.

My F150 did the same thing. Burnt to the ground and got letter the next day

I keep meaning to take my 2010 Chevy HD in for a re-program of the HVAC controller. They have a recall for problems with high-moisture and not being able to defog the windshield. I am sitting here wondering why the controls don't just do what I tell them to do. Maybe the "re-program" will let me do just that.

my sister has a 07 accent and the tranny started to jerk around on her and she took it to the dealership and they are going to put a new trans in at no cost
