I'm looking to buy A Wrangler around 2000 or newer. I'm just wondering if it can handle pulling a 7x12 dump trailer. I'm leaning more towards the 4 door jeep Wrangler. Just thinking about making work a little more fun this summer.

Anything from mulch, dirt to gravel...pretty much anything oh yeah lawn mowing equipment also.

I wouldn't dump trailer are pretty heavy as it is, then you add in a full load of gravel or dirt and your going to be slowly killing the jeep.

The dump trailer probably weighs 3-4k empty. That's double what a TJ is rated to pull, not counting anything you might put in the trailer. Towing capacity on the JK 4 door is more like 4k, so you could pull the empty trailer, but nothing else.

I guess I need to keep it hitched to the old 02 F250. Thanks for all the info. I was thinking it would be too much but just wanted to double check.
